Founder Profile: Danny Simmonds

Early Life

Arriving in Australia at 20 on a one way ticket and a dream, he soon became homeless and was found washing himself in the Mcdonalds toilets on St Kilda Beach, Melbourne. The manager gave danny his first gig, cleaning tables at peak hours.

Fast forward a couple of years, he then found a place he loved, Noosa.

Starting from the very bottom of the ladder, Danny was a dish washer at a small bar in Noosa, Queensland Australia. He soon caught on, finding himself front of house slinging cocktails, within six months Danny was the manager of the bar, his first step.

Getting into the swing

After Launching the first cocktail bar on Noosa river, Danny found the place over flowing with people every night, and realised that he has to have his own. After years of helping other owners, family businesses small and big as an employee he soon learned they all had the same problem, exposure. He found owners fighting for customers in an evolving digital world in 2016. Danny put his bar dream on hold, because he came up with an idea, an App that would connect the hospitality industry to customers with loyalty systems, ability to book tables and gain followers on the restaurants own profile pages on the app. this enabled the owners to send out exclusive notifications and deals to their followers. Danny travelled Australia and signed up thousands of restaurants face to face. This grew fast and partnered up with Uber Eats Australia after six months,

9 hospitality venues

After 15 years of hospitality, creating nine venues across the Sunshine Coast, Queensland varying from small cocktail bars, American Diners, Street food Sandwich bars, two Franchises, a Caribbean rum bar & Restaurant, two Coffee Shops and a Coffee rosters Danny Simmonds became recognised as a prominent figure and was voted as a top 30 Hospitality influencer in Australia.

sharing is caring
